This is a French Cabernet with a little more personality than your typical Cab. It comes from a cooler, hillside area of the Minervois in Southern France, where the estate farms organically.

Expect ripe blackcurrant, blackberry and dark cherry, with touches of cocoa, baking spice and black spice. It’s dry and structured, with firm but elegant tannins and a long finish.

Flor de Cardón comes from Tolombón in Argentina’s Calchaquí Valley, where vineyards sit at approximately 5,700 feet above sea level. Intense mountain sunshine, cool nights and rocky soils create ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon, producing concentrated fruit while preserving freshness and acidity.

The wine is aged for 10 months in seasoned French oak, allowing the Cabernet’s character to shine without being overwhelmed by oak. This is a serious, limited-production Rioja from Bodegas Valdemar, a family with five generations of winemaking history. The 2019 is crafted from 85% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano and 5% Maturana, hand-selected from some of the family’s most prized vineyards in Rioja Alavesa. It spends an impressive 25 months in fine-grained French and American oak barrels.

This is a beautifully polished Napa Valley Cabernet from Amulet Estate, sourced from a sustainably farmed single vineyard in Yountville. The 2022 is a Bordeaux-style blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot and 5% Malbec.

It spends 20 months in French oak, 70% new, giving it richness and depth while maintaining an elegant, silky texture. Expect aromas of black cherry and tobacco leaf, followed by ripe fig, plum, fresh herbs and dark chocolate. Fine tannins and bright acidity carry everything into a long, mouthwatering finish.

This is a serious, collectible Napa Cabernet from one of the valley’s most celebrated mountain vineyard sites. Krupp Brothers’ M5 is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from a specific block of the famed Stagecoach Vineyard, planted high above Napa Valley at approximately 1,420–1,520 feet in rocky mountain soils. Production of the 2019 was just 345 cases, making this a genuinely limited wine.

The 2019 spent 19 months in 100% new French oak, creating a powerful, luxurious Cabernet with layers of black currant, blackberry and black raspberry, complemented by violet, cardamom, California bay leaf and earthy mountain notes. The tannins are substantial yet plush, with the concentration and structure for serious aging. Krupp Brothers suggests a drinking window extending all the way to 2052.

Château Pontet-Canet was classified as a Fifth Growth in Bordeaux’s historic 1855 Classification, yet today the estate is widely regarded among Pauillac’s elite producers. The estate is also notable for its organic and biodynamic approach to farming.

The 2018 is a classic Bordeaux blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot.
